This module contains a Color Sensor based on the TAOS TCS3200 Digital Color Sensor. The device has 4 sets of photodiodes that sense the light level. One set does not have a filter so it senses unfiltered light. The other three sets are filtered to only let specific frequencies hit the photodiodes. One set measures red light, one green light, and the other blue light.

The module also contains an EFM32ZG108 Gecko low power microcontroller and two RS232 serial ports allowing it to be daisy chained in a network. Pre-Programmed for use in an openHAB Home Automation system or can be Re-Programmed for other uses.
